Yesterday, the most definite milestone of them all was reached! One million zones have now been taken. A number indeed hard to grasp.
The one who took the millionth zone? It was Madmax! He will therefore recieve a Nexus 7 tablet as reward for taking Turf to the next level. Congratulations!

240.096.456 points have been collected in total.
4.881.099 km have been travelled (more than six trips to the moon and back).
9373 zones exist in the game.
Between 3000 and 6000 zones are taken every day. (500/hour around 18.00)
The most active player has taken about 18.000 zones.
No zones would be taken without the Turfers, no records broken, no continued development. But lets not become too sentimental, there are new things waiting around the corner:) Lets head towards five million!
